More commonly called an armlift
An upper arm lift, or brachioplasty, reshapes the upper arm to remove loose flabby fold of skin and fat (“batwing”) under the upper arms between elbow and shoulder. The flabbiness can happen with natural ageing or when a lot of weight, or biceps/triceps muscle bulk is lost. Liposuction is sometimes used in combination to achieve the best results.
When to Consider an Upper Arm Lift
- If your weight is normal, but you feel your underarm flabbiness is out of proportion and spoils your appearance.
- If you have lost a lot of weight or muscle mass and are left with excess upper-arm skin and fat flab.
- If you are willing to accept a scar in exchange for shapelier arms.
